<h4>Can I manage my account online?</h4>

<p>Yes, you can now manage your account online via our secure online service called eVanquis.   Once you have registered for this service, you will be able to view  your account balance, access your statements and pay your credit card  bill.</p>
<h4>What should I do if I have any questions about my account?</h4>

<p>As a Vanquis Card customer you have access 24 hours a  day to Vanquis QuickCall for balance and credit limit information, or if  you prefer to speak to someone you can call Customer Services. Both  services are available on 0871 770 5555. (Please note that calls to 0871  numbers will be charged at 7p per minute from a BT landline. Calls from  mobiles and other networks may vary).</p>
<h4>What&#8217;s my right to cancel?</h4>
<div id="sectionitem-28">
<p>Once you have applied, you can withdraw your  application by sending WRITTEN notice of cancellation to: Vanquis Card,  Customer Services, P.O. Box 399, Chatham ME4 4WQ. Once your application  is accepted you will have a further short time to cancel the agreement.  Again you can do this by WRITTEN notice sent to the address above.</p>
<h4>Can I add an additional card holder to my account?</h4>
<div id="sectionitem-29">
<p>Yes, you can apply to add an additional card holder if  your account has been open for at least 6 months, you have a credit  limit of at least £500 and your account has been well maintained. If you  would like to apply, please call Customer Services on 0871 770 5555 and  request an additional card holder form. Once you have completed and  returned the form, we will be able to confirm if your application has  been successful. (Calls to 0871 numbers will be charged at 7p per minute  from a BT landline. Calls from mobiles and other networks may vary.)</p>
<h4>What if my balance gets too high?</h4>
<div id="sectionitem-30">
<p>It is important that you contact us as soon as you find you may have difficulty meeting your minimum payment.</p>
<p>It is important to check your statement each month and ensure you can  meet at least the minimum payment on your outstanding balance. Wherever  possible you should try to pay more than the minimum payment.</p>
<h4>Why might my interest rate change?</h4>
<div id="sectionitem-31">
<p>When you borrow money on a credit card, the credit  is‘unsecured’ because it’s not linked to your property; and ‘open ended’  because the account is not set to last for a specific length of time.  This means that we face more risk than other types of credit product,  such as personal loans and mortgages. Also, your financial circumstances  can change over time, which means there may be a higher risk that you  will not be able to pay back the money you have borrowed.</p>
<p>Changing the interest rate allows us to respond to expected changes  in the economy; the cost of providing credit; and your financial  circumstances.</p>
<p>If we didn’t adjust interest rates in this way, we might have to take your card away, or you may have to pay new charges.</p>
<h4>How often do you change my interest rate?</h4>
<div id="sectionitem-32">
<p>We will not increase your interest rate within the  first year when it is linked to risk-based re-pricing. This means your  interest rate would only increase within the first year because of  changes, for example, in the economy.</p>
<p>We will not increase your interest rate more than once every six months.</p>
<p>When we tell you about an increase in your interest rate, we will  explain in clear language how it is changing, what it will cost and the  options available to you.</p>
<p>If you ask, we will give you information on how and why we have changed your interest rate.</p>
<h4>Can I keep my interest rate on its current rate and pay off my debt to you?</h4>

<p>We will write to you to tell you about an increase in  your interest rate, if you are unhappy with the interest rate we move  you to, you must contact us within 60 days of the letter telling you  about the rate increase and inform us you wish to close your account.  You will then be able to clear your outstanding balance at your current  Interest Rate, after which your account will be closed.</p>

<p>Making repayments on time builds a strong credit rating, and the longer you do this the better your rating will be.</p>
<h4>How can I make a payment to my account?</h4>

<p><strong>Over the Phone or Online:</strong><br />
Via your  bank’s telephone or internet banking service, you can make a one off  payment or set up a standing order. Simply quote the following details:  (1) Our sort code: 60-95-94, (2) Our bank account number: 0000 0001 and  (3) Your Vanquis 16 digit card account number. Please allow 3-5 working  days for your payment to reach your account via this method.</p>
<p>or</p>
<p>Phone Vanquis on <strong>0871 770 5555</strong>, you can make a one  off payment with a Debit Card or set up a Direct Debit for regular  payments. Lines are open between 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday and 9am to  5.30pm on Saturday (calls to 0871 numbers will be charged at 7p per  minute from a BT landline. Calls from mobiles and other networks may  vary). Please allow at least 2-3 working days for your payment to reach  your account via this method.</p>
<p><strong>Via vanquis.co.uk:</strong><br />
You can pay by Debit Card, simply click on the &#8220;pay my card&#8221; button on the Vanquis website, which will take you to our ‘payvanquis’  website, then click on &#8220;Register Debit Card&#8221; and follow the online  instructions. If you have any problems registering, then please contact <strong>0871 770 5555</strong> (calls to 0871 numbers will be charged at 7p per minute from a BT  landline; calls from mobiles and other networks may vary), between 8am  and 8pm Monday to Friday or between 9am and 5.30pm Saturday, and speak  to an agent to register your Debit Card. Please allow 3-5 working days  for your payment to reach your account.</p>
<p><strong>Via eVanquis:</strong><br />
Once you are registered, you can pay via our secure online service, eVanquis.  Not only will this allow you to pay your credit card bill but will also  allow you to manage your account online – viewing your account balance  and accessing your statements.</p>
<p><strong>Over the Counter:</strong><br />
Over the counter at your Bank  or Post Office, using your pre-printed giro (found at the bottom of your  monthly statement). Please note that the Post Office will charge a fee.  If the bank you pay through is not your own bank you may also be  charged a fee. Please allow 5 working days for your payment to reach  your account via this method. Please note that cheque payments made over  the post office counter can, in<strong> </strong>some instances, take up to 20 working days to clear.</p>
<p>Please remember to always make your payments in good time to make  sure they reach your account by the Due Date. We recommend you pay early  to avoid possible late charges and maintain your credit record.</p>
<p><strong>By Post:</strong><br />
By posting a cheque, together with your  pre-printed giro (found at the bottom of your monthly statement) in one  of our pre-paid envelopes. Please make cheques payable to ‘Vanquis Bank’  followed by your Vanquis Visa Card account number. Write your name and  Vanquis Visa Card account number on the back of the cheque. Please note,  we normally recommend allowing 10 working days for your payment to  reach your account via this method.</p>
<h4>When I make a payment what gets paid off first?</h4>

<p>Where your repayment is not sufficient to pay off the  whole of the balance outstanding on your Account, your repayment will be  allocated initially to paying off fees, charges and interest/minimum  finance charge on your statement and then to the debt bearing the  highest interest rate.</p>

Your statement is produced on the 1st of each month and  you always make the payment each month on the 15th. Your statement is  produced 31 days after you make the purchase.</p>
<h4>How often do I have to make a payment and how will I know how much to pay?</h4>

<p>We will send you a statement or notify you that your statement is available to view each month.</p>
<p>We will tell you on your statement the minimum amount you have to  pay. You must pay at least the minimum amount each month by the due date  on your statement.</p>
<p>For ways to make additional payments through the month:</p>
<p><strong>Over the Phone or Online:</strong></p>
<p>Via your bank’s telephone or internet banking service, you can make a  one off payment or set up a standing order. Simply quote the following  details: (1) Our sort code: 60-95-94, (2) Our bank account number: 0000  0001 and (3) Your Vanquis 16 digit card account number. Please allow 3-5  working days for your payment to reach your account via this method.</p>

<p>Phone Vanquis on <strong>0871 770 5555</strong>, you can make a one  off payment with a Debit Card or set up a Direct Debit for regular  payments. Lines are open between 8am to 8pm Monday to Friday and 9am to  5.30pm on Saturday (calls to 0871 numbers will be charged at 7p per  minute from a BT landline. Calls from mobiles and other networks may  vary). Please allow at least 2-3 working days for your payment to reach  your account via this method.</p>
<p><strong>Via vanquis.co.uk:</strong></p>
<p>You can pay by Debit Card, simply click on the &#8220;pay my card&#8221; button on the Vanquis website, which will take you to our ‘payvanquis’  website, then click on &#8220;Register Debit Card&#8221; and follow the online  instructions. If you have any problems registering, then please contact <strong>0871 770 5555</strong> (calls to 0871 numbers will be charged at 7p per minute from a BT  landline; calls from mobiles and other networks may vary), between 8am  and 8pm Monday to Friday or between 9am and 5.30pm Saturday, and speak  to an agent to register your Debit Card. Please allow 3-5 working days  for your payment to reach your account.</p>
<p><strong>Via eVanquis:</strong></p>
<p>Once you are registered, you can pay via our secure online service, eVanquis.  Not only will this allow you to pay your credit card bill but will also  allow you to manage your account online – viewing your account balance  and accessing your statements.</p>
<p><strong>Over the Counter:</strong></p>
<p>Over the counter at your Bank or Post Office, using your pre-printed  giro (found at the bottom of your monthly statement). Please note that  the Post Office will charge a fee. If the bank you pay through is not  your own bank you may also be charged a fee. Please allow 5 working days  for your payment to reach your account via this method. Please note  that cheque payments made over the post office counter can, in some  instances, take up to 20 working days to clear.</p>
<p>Please remember to always make your payments in good time to make  sure they reach your account by the Due Date. We recommend you pay early  to avoid possible late charges and maintain your credit record.</p>
<p><strong>By Post:</strong></p>
<p>By posting a cheque, together with your pre-printed giro (found at  the bottom of your monthly statement) in one of our pre-paid envelopes.  Please make cheques payable to ‘Vanquis Bank’ followed by your Vanquis  Visa Card account number. Write your name and Vanquis Visa Card account  number on the back of the cheque. Please note, we normally recommend  allowing 10 working days for your payment to reach your account via this  method.</p>
<h4>What happens if I don&#8217;t pay?</h4>

<p>If you are late with your minimum payment or fail to make your minimum payment, we will charge you a late payment charge of £12.</p>
<p>We will contact you to talk to you about your account and any impact this may have on future minimum payments.</p>
<p>Missing payments could have severe consequences and make obtaining credit more difficult.</p>

<h4>What will my credit limit be?</h4>

<p>When we review your application we’ll take into  consideration your circumstances and provide you with a credit limit we  think you can manage. If we set your limit higher than you would like  we’ll lower it for you. Over time we will review your account, and may  offer you a credit limit increase if your account is well managed.</p>
<h4>Can I increase my credit limit?</h4>

<p>As a responsible lender, Vanquis Bank will seek to  provide you with a credit limit that reflects your needs and your  ability to manage your account. To be considered for a credit limit  increase, you should make use of your credit limit without going  overlimit and make your payments on time. By using your credit limit and  keeping your account in order, you demonstrate to us that you can  manage your account well and can handle the monthly repayments.</p>
<p>Please also keep your other accounts such as credit cards, loans,  catalogues, mobile phone and mortgages in order and don’t take on too  much debt elsewhere. Please remember this is just a guide and meeting  this criteria does not guarantee you a credit limit increase.</p>

To help us do this, applications may be assessed using a  process called credit scoring which assesses credit stability and  ability to pay. Credit scoring produces consistent decisions and is  designed to ensure all applicants are treated fairly.</p>
<p>From the information we have obtained and the way this information is  used in our credit scoring system, we are unable to accept you for a  Vanquis Visa Card.</p>
<p>If you would like us to reconsider our decision, you can write to us  at New Accounts Department, P.O. Box 399, Chatham, Kent, ME4 4WQ and  provide us with any additional information that you consider relevant.  You have the right under the Data Protection Act 1998 and Consumer  Credit Act 1974 to see information held about you.</p>
